Garage Sale the De-Clutter Solution for your Swansea Home

Decluttering your home every so often is necessary for all homeowners. Although this can be a daunting task, particularly in family homes where clutter can accumulate quite dramatically. It is often something that we put off but if you decide to sell up it can become more pressing.

When you put your home up for sale it is important to showcase the house and not its contents. You also want to ensure that the contents make the house look as good as possible rather than distract.

If your home is packed full of your possessions it can make your home look messy but also smaller and overly-personalised, which can be a turn-off for potential buyers.

One solution could be a Garage Sale. A Worcestershire Estate Agent, recently started an initiative known as the “Big Worcestershire Garage Sale.”

Organised by local estate agency Nicol & Co, hundreds of people took part as sellers or buyers in the community event as around 80 households in more than 45 streets across the county simultaneously decluttered their homes to sell unwanted items.

Matt Nicol, event organiser and Managing Director said: “It was a fabulous day and we had great feedback from everyone taking part that they loved doing it.

“They all managed to get rid of plenty of unwanted items, found themselves chatting to loads more neighbours on their drives and in their front gardens than they would normally, plus they all made a little bit of money as well.”
